Training Data
Below you can download several datasets that can be used to practice your HemoVision workflow. These datasets allow you to explore scene reconstruction, stain analysis, trajectory reconstruction, and Area of Origin estimation using real training material.
Each dataset contains the images and supporting data required to complete the exercise.
Example 1 — First Reconstruction
Description
This dataset is ideal if you are new to HemoVision. It allows you to reconstruct your first scene, select and analyze stains, and calculate your first Area of Origin.

All images were captured using a Nikon D5500 camera.
Example 2 — Augmented Reality Example
Description
This dataset builds on the first example. It contains all images required to reconstruct the scene, analyze stains, and calculate the Area of Origin.
In addition, the dataset includes several extra photographs that demonstrate the capabilities of the Augmented Reality module. A 3D scan of the room is also included, with the impact device still present, allowing you to compare the calculated Area of Origin with the true origin.

Notes
Images were captured using a Nikon D5500 camera.
The point cloud was recorded using a DotProduct DPI10 scanner.
Example 3 — Cast-Off Patterns
Description
Interested in analyzing cast-off patterns? This dataset was created during a workshop at the IABPA conference in Kansas City and contains two cast-off patterns.
You can practice grouping stains belonging to different patterns and calculating cast-off trajectories. The dataset also includes a 3D scan of the room, allowing you to explore the results in full 3D context.

The point cloud was generated using an iPhone 16 Pro Max together with Recon-3D.
Example 4 — Overlapping Impact Patterns
Description
This dataset was also created during a workshop at the IABPA conference in Kansas City. Multiple impacts were generated close to each other, resulting in highly overlapping spatter patterns.
Although no ground truth is available, this dataset provides a good exercise for practicing the grouping of stains into different groups and calculating multiple Areas of Origin.
